Terms of Service

Last updated 13 Oct 2026

These terms cover how you may use PostoBox, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, email support@postobox.app.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and sudo127, which operates PostoBox. By creating an account, or by taking part in an event, you agree to them. If you use PostoBox for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

2. The service

PostoBox lets organisers run live Q&A, polls and questionnaires, with attendees taking part from their phones and results shown on a presenter screen. We keep improving the service, so features may change. We will give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep your email address up to date.
  • Keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity under your account and keys.
  • Organisation owners and admins are responsible for the team members and moderators they invite, and for removing access when it is no longer needed.
  • Tell us at support@postobox.app straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use PostoBox to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • harass, threaten or abuse people, or publish hateful or sexually explicit content;
  • send spam, phishing or malware, or collect attendees’ personal data without a lawful basis;
  • create accounts automatically, get around plan limits or rate limits, or probe our systems for vulnerabilities without permission;
  • disrupt the service or other people’s events.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You own what you and your attendees put into PostoBox. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you, for example showing questions on the event page and presenter screen.

You are responsible for having the right to use the content, logos and brand assets you upload, and for telling attendees how their submissions will be used. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

6. Events and moderation

Organisers decide how their events run, including whether questions need approval and whether anonymous questions are allowed, and are responsible for moderating what appears at their events. We don’t review event content in advance, but we may act on reports of content that breaks these terms. Report problems to support@postobox.app.

7. The API

API keys are for server-side use by your organisation. Keep them out of browsers and public code, stay within the rate limits for your plan, and follow the API documentation. We may revoke a key that is leaked or misused.

8. Plans and limits

Each organisation is on a plan with limits on events, questions, polls, questionnaires, team members and API use. The free plan is offered as is, and its limits may change; if we lower a limit we won’t delete content you already have. Paid plans and any custom limits are agreed with us separately.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using PostoBox at any time and ask us to delete your account at support@postobox.app. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

10. Disclaimer

We work hard to keep PostoBox fast and available, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we recommend a backup plan for events where live audience input is critical.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or a disrupted event, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for PostoBox in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email before they take effect. If you keep using PostoBox after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute about them or about PostoBox will be heard by the courts of Malaysia. If you use PostoBox as a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the laws of the country you live in.
